“Apocalypse” does not mean doom. Its Greek origin, and as used in the bible Book of Revelations, means just that, “revelation”. Or “unveiling”. Like taking the lid off. As the lid comes off, light shines on what’s been hidden, and we suddenly realize reality is not what we thought it was. It is so much more. Kind of like the movie The Truman Story, except it has not been some crazy TV producer doing the hiding but rather our own selves, our own fears.
And, as many indigenous prophesies have predicted, these are the times. Yes, the “end times”. Not the end of the world, mind you, but the end of the world as we’ve known it. It’s truly an awakening. And, as such, also an opportunity, if we choose to take it. An opportunity to work with one another to co-create a new world, one based on love and peace, a new beginning, even as the old world crumbles around us.
