I am on the verge of tears. Just heard/read about the Doctrine of
Discovery that was the legal and “moral” basis for 500 years of European
and Christian subjugation of peoples and lands anywhere and everywhere
in the world, and is still enshrined and enforced to this day in U.S.
Read about it: http://www.consciouselders.org/decleration_on_the_dod
Hear about it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V3gF7ULVrl4
And, if you are so moved, sign the declaration: http://www.consciouselders.org/cen_declaration_on_dod
A culture of peace requires, in my view, that this Doctrine be brought
to healing light, loudly repudiated, and totally unwound.
I am surprised this is new info.ReplyDelete
I studied it in history.
None the less, I fully concure we must insure people, All people understand how decisions were AND ARE being made.
We can not change the past, nor should we "Judge" the past from our todays views.
What we can do as the gentleman said is Learn AND together move forward.
